It's not working out, oh thank Goddess

I am still infatuated, but do not take any concrete steps to let the girl know. I try, but feel I'm getting that "I like you so much as a friend" feeling, which discourages me completely from taking braver steps. Goddamn it. If I had a dollar for everytime a girl wanted to be friends with me I'd be as rich as Bill Gates. I keep being charming and dropping hints left and right and trying to ask her our, but it's just not working out... I'm a sad kitty...
